Peptides & personal health — Part 4
Part 4: He Said Yes. The Blessing Came. And So Did the Package.
What 18 months of bioactive peptides actually did to my body — and the conversation that opened the next door.
The conversation I had been waiting to have
There are milestones in a health journey that have nothing to do with a lab result or a scale number.
This one was a conversation at home, with my husband James.
Before I moved forward with Tesamorelin and KPV through EllieMD, the one thing I wanted most was his blessing. Not just his awareness, but his genuine openness, his support, and his agreement that this was a good step. I did my research. I had the green light from my functional medicine doctor. I knew what I wanted. But this mattered.

And to my surprise, and honestly, to my relief, he was fully open. He listened. He heard me. He was open to the idea of making it a business expense. And then the conversation kept going: he opened the door to starting his own bloodwork, connecting with a functional medicine practitioner, and beginning that process for himself too.
That last part floored me. I came into that conversation hoping to walk away with a yes for myself, but also with something that would benefit him in the long-run as well. I walked away with something much bigger.
Approved, ordered, and on the FedEx truck
The timeline moved faster than I expected. I ordered the treatment on the 25th. By the 26th, my EllieMD practitioner had approved me for the proper dosage of Tesamorelin/KPV injection. And today, May 28th, as I'm writing this, it's arriving via FedEx. Typically the process takes seven to ten days. This was three.
Approved by the EllieMD practitioner for the proper dosage. Shipped the 27th.
Arriving today. Three days from order to door.
I'm going into this next phase targeting two specific things: Tesamorelin for its impact on the remaining fat area — particularly the belly — and KPV for its potential effects on my ANA testing, skin tone, acne, and histamine responses. I'll be tracking everything: how my skin responds, whether my histamine reactions decrease, and how it supports my daily protein focus and energy. Part 5 will be my first real results report.
18 months of MAKE Wellness — what the data actually shows
Before I talk about what's next, I want to honor what got me here. Because eighteen months of consistent, patient work with MAKE Wellness bioactive peptides deserves a real accounting.

My weight started at 110 lbs in October 2024. Over 18 months, it has settled consistently between 106 and 108 pounds. On paper, that's a 2-pound change. But the body composition shift looked and felt like far more than that, (because it was).

I strength train 2 to 5 days a week. I run once a week, consistently. I walk with Nala a minimum of 5
days a week. My work, though, is largely sedentary, at least 5 hours of sitting every day. And through all of that, my body has been quietly recomposing.
A note on the Guatemala dip
When I traveled to Guatemala in July 2025, my weight dropped to 104–105 lbs. Once I returned and resumed my training routine, it came back to my normal range. That's not a plateau, but a travel fluctuation.
The real baseline is what my body returns to when I'm consistent. That baseline has changed in quality, even when the number hasn't changed dramatically.
The photos that tell the real story
I've been intentional about documenting this journey in photos ( specifically because I knew the scale wouldn't capture it). Below is the comparison that matters most to me: the same outfit, the same body, 6 months apart.

The two areas where I saw the most change: my face and my belly. People didn't really comment, but I felt it, and I saw it in pictures. This isn't a story about external validation. It's about knowing your own body well enough to notice when something is working, quietly and consistently, over time.

The three products I use — and what each one does I use FIT, LEAN, and Hydrated together as a system. Each has a specific role. Here's how I think about each one after 18 months of consistent use:

The 12 Weeks to FIT program — the structure behind the results
The products are one piece. The 12 Weeks to FIT program that I implemented is the other — three 4-week phases with workouts, nutrition coaching, community accountability, and education. It's where the peptides meet the lifestyle. This is the structure that made everything click for me.

Today — and what comes next
As I write this on May 28th, 2026, a FedEx package is on its way to my door. Inside it: Tesamorelin and KPV from EllieMD, approved by my functional medicine practitioner, ordered three days ago, supported by my husband, and aligned with where I've felt called to go next in this journey.
Eighteen months of MAKE Wellness bioactive peptides brought me to this door. Consistent strength training, weekly runs, daily walks, intentional nutrition (all of it built the foundation). And now I'm ready to see what the next layer looks like.
I'll be tracking everything in Part 5: how Tesamorelin affects the remaining abdominal fat area, what KPV does for my ANA levels, my skin, my acne, and my histamine responses. If you've been following this journey — stay close. This is where it gets interesting.
